• The Patchwork Project

    The Patchwork Project seeks to help raise awareness for the serious nature of Eating Disorders, and acts as a physical way to show support for those who do live with the disease.

    This aim of this project is to collect squares of fabric made by you and sew them into a patchwork quilt to be displayed in an exhibition.

    • The squares need to be 7cm by 7cms, and may or may not be embroidered or written on by you =) Embroidery NOT IMPORTANT
    • The patches need to be sent to the address found here.
    • The patches should be sent no later than August 31
    • You may send them anonymously. All envelopes will be destroyed. All patches will be used only for the quilt. The quilt is being assembled as part of a University Art Project by Jess Dyball who is a visual art Honours student at Queensland University of Technology (QUT).

The Patchwork Project

Patchwork quilts evoke a sense of yesteryear and quilting bees. Quilting bees were where women (and men) came together to tell stories, often weaving their stories through the quilts that they made together. We have a story. Lets tell it.
